Report: Flu pandemic could overwhelm Vermont hospitals

A report released today by a national nonprofit finds Vermont among 15 states that could run out of available hospital beds during the peak of a "swine flu" outbreak.
The report was produced by the Trust for America's Health and bases its figures on Center for Disease Control estimates that predict the H1N1 flu virus to be similar to last flu pandemic in 1968-69, and 35 percent of Americans could potentially become sick.
