As an influenza pandemic threatens to erupt in Asia, a shuttered vaccine plant in Lancaster County could get a second life and help shield the U.S. population from a deadly flu outbreak... ...Shelley Hearne, executive director of the nonprofit Trust for America's Health, said all options should be kept open. "One of the things we recognized in this country is that we have a vastly inadequate vaccine production capacity," she said. "In the short term, we need to be creative."
