Experts: U.S. Can't Handle Pandemic

The United States is unprepared not just for flu season, but for a worldwide pandemic or bioterrorism attack, say researchers outside the government.
"We have a long way to go in being prepared for the next health crisis," said Dr. Shelley Hearne, executive director of the Trust for America's Health
. "Look at what we have happening today: block-long lines, doctors frantic for guidance, and health officials who don't have the authority to direct vaccine supplies or enforce recommendations for who should receive them."
