Editorial: Kansas should increase public health spending

Although Kansas has improved on many key health indicators, the state must take further steps to ensure it is prepared to address public health emergencies, according to “Ready or Not,” a recent report from the Trust for America’s Health (TFAH). Each state received a score based on ten indicators. Seventeen states, including Kansas, received positive marks for six indicators, placing Kansas in the middle of the pack on preparedness.
