GUEST COMMENTARY: Alabama's obesity rates worsen; tough decisions needed

Members of the Alabama Legislature have tough decisions to make. However, according to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Trust for America’s Health, the Healthy Food Financing Program has the potential to save $3 Billion in diet-related health care cost if Alabamians reduce their collective BMI by five percent by 2020, while boosting local economies with local and state tax revenue and creating more jobs.
