Westmoreland County on pace to surpass record for drug-related fatalities

A study by the nonprofit The Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation showed drug overdoses are the leading cause of injury-related deaths in the nation, averaging nearly 44,000 a year. The study showed overdose deaths more than doubled nationwide in the past 14 years.
