South Carolina leaders launch new obesity initiative

A press release about the event calls this South Carolina's "first-ever Obesity Action Plan" and explains that the initiative features short-term and long-term action items in four categories: communities, work sites, health care and schools.
Nearly 32 percent of adults in South Carolina are obese - the 10th highest rate in the country - according to a report published earlier this month by the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
