Consumer groups call on Surgeon General to weigh in on soda and sugary drinks

Recently, I read that soda and potatoes are the two items that contribute most to weight gain.
For some reason, in my 50-plus years, soda tastes really good. I have to work hard to avoid it, along with other sweets. I love sugar. My oldest sister also loves soda these days.
As baby boomers get older, they need to work as much as they can on improving their health. Avoiding soda and sugary drinks is one way to do it.
