Senate Dems to Obama: Stand firm on EPA rules in spending talks

Nearly 20 Senate Democrats — including prominent liberals and members of the Democratic leadership — are urging President Obama not to agree to spending plans that undermine Environmental Protection Agency rules.

Their new letter to reflects concern that the high-stakes talks on fiscal year 2011 spending will provide an opening for House-approved measures that undermine EPA policies — including climate change rules.
