Local health care officials try to trim fat

Today's sedentary lifestyle coupled with an ever-increasing diet of processed food and excessive portions keep Indiana residents tipping the scale. Statewide, 27.4 percent of Indiana adults are obese. Indiana ranks 31st in the number of overweight children ages 10-17 at 29.9 percent, according to a recent report released by Trust for America's Health and funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
