According to a report issued by Trust for America's Health said Kansas is ranked twenty-third as most obese state in the fifth annual "F as in Fat: How Obesity Policies Are Failing in America, 2008."

The report said that 25.8 percent of adults in Kansas are obese; up from 24.3 percent in 2007. Mississippi currently ranks first, with 31.7 percent.

Oklahoma ranks eighth at 28.1 percent
Missouri thirteenth at 27.4 percent
Nebraska eighteenth at 26.5 percent
