Health care must be priority for lawmakers

As our new and re-elected congressional leaders plan for the new session, they are likely forming their list of priorities. While our economic crisis is certainly top of mind, we must also work to address our looming health-care crisis.

Additionally, a recent Trust for America's Health report found that, by spending $10 per person each year on chronic disease prevention, we could save the nation more than $16 billion annually within five years.
