Madison / Study: Wisconsin ready for disaster

A report from Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation shows Wisconsin is one of five states best prepared to handle health disasters.

States were scored on 10 items, including plans to distribute vaccines, public health-lab capabilities, laws to reduce liability for health care volunteers in an emergency and funding for public health services.

Wisconsin scored a perfect 10, along with Louisiana, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Virginia.
