SC better prepared for public health emergency

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The latest report by a health research group shows South Carolina is better prepared for a massive disaster than it was a year ago.
The sixth annual "Ready or Not?" report by the Trust for America's Health says South Carolina performed adequately in nine of the 10 categories that were measured. The report released Tuesday says South Carolina does not have laws limiting the liability of businesses and non-profits that help during an emergency.
