Health care funding study ranks isles at top

Hawaii provided an average of about $152.66 per person for public health in the last fiscal year -- tops in a study released yesterday by the Trust for America's Health. Jeffrey Levi, executive director of the organization and one of the report's authors, said in a telephone interview, "Public health is a priority in the state, at least with the state Legislature."
