A plan to cut Medicare payments to cancer doctors will force smaller clinics to close and push some practitioners out of business, the medical director of a Westmoreland County cancer center predicts...More than 29,000 people died of cancer in Pennsylvania in 2002. Overall cancer costs in the state were $9.2 billion, according to Trust for America's Health, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that tracks diseases.
