			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From Center for Science in the Public Interest – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) “has published an interim rule for performance-based cash assistance for school food authorities certified compliant with the new USDA meal pattern and nutrition standards. This rule requires State agencies to certify participating school food authorities (SFAs) that are in compliance with meal pattern and nutrition standard requirements as eligible to receive performance-based cash assistance for each reimbursable lunch served.” Comments regarding rule provisions will be accepted until June 26th.
